Odisha CM's Grievance Cell Sees 95% Resolution Rate: A Beacon of Transparency

Bhubaneswar, Odisha - In a significant development, the Odisha government's grievance hearing mechanism has been hailed as a success story, with a staggering 95% of complaints received at the Chief Minister's cell being resolved. According to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the cell has received a total of 13,358 complaints, of which 12,748 have been successfully resolved. The CM's grievance sessions, which were initiated in July 2024, have seen over 56,028 participants, with the number expected to rise as the government plans to extend the hearings to more locations. The CM also announced plans to organize additional hearings in the near future. During the 16th grievance hearing session, Majhi met with 30 differently abled and chronically ill individuals, receiving their complaint petitions and directing officials to take immediate action. The CM also sanctioned medical assistance to three individuals suffering from serious ailments through the Single Window System. In a statement, Majhi emphasized the government's commitment to bridging the gap between administration and people, making governance more accessible and transparent. The CM's efforts to address public grievances have been widely praised, with many hailing the grievance cell as a model for other states to follow. The government's web portal and postal services have also seen a significant number of complaints, with 1,49,418 grievances being received and 1,30,845 cases being resolved, which is approximately 88%. The CM's unwavering dedication to serving the people has earned him immense trust and confidence, with many citing the government as a 'people's government'.
