Apple Unveils iPhone 17e with Enhanced Speed, Storage, and Durability

Apple has refreshed its most affordable iPhone, the iPhone 17e, with a year's worth of upgrades. The new device boasts the A19 chip, an improved 48-megapixel Fusion Camera, and a more scratch-resistant display.

The iPhone 17e is priced at ₹64,900 for the 256GB variant and ₹84,900 for the 512GB storage in India. The device features a 48-megapixel Fusion camera system with a main camera that supports 1x and 2x optical zoom, as well as 4K video recording at up to 60fps in Dolby Vision.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 17e begin on March 4 in India, with availability from March 11. Apple's vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, Kaiann Drance, says the iPhone 17e combines powerful performance and features at an exceptional value, making it a compelling option for customers looking to upgrade.

The iPhone 17e features an aerospace-grade aluminium chassis, Ceramic Shield 2 front cover, and a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The device also includes an Action Button for quick customization and supports console-level gaming with its 4-core GPU and Neural Accelerators.

Apple's in-house C1X cellular modem is claimed to be twice as fast as its predecessor and uses 30% less energy. The iPhone 17e also features MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging at 15 watts, up from 7.5 watts in the predecessor.
