BuzzFeed Inc. is facing a 'going-concern' risk and is exploring strategic options to offset financial challenges, its CFO revealed.

Despite reducing operating costs and real estate obligations, the media company still faces legacy commitments that are burdening the business.

BuzzFeed has struggled financially since going public in 2021 and has a market capitalization of just $27 million, down from over $1 billion.

The company has reduced its debt by over 65% but still reported a loss of $57.3 million in 2025 and has a deficit of $679.6 million.

BuzzFeed's shares tumbled 16% in extended trading in New York after the company revealed its financial struggles.
