Casting director Mukesh Chhabra revealed the story of casting Sara during a recent interview on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra.
According to Mukesh, they initially thought of big, established actors, but Aditya got so many messages from different people asking to be cast in the film.
They were looking for a fresh approach and a girl with no background, so that it would feel like she's from that world.
More than a thousand girls auditioned, and Mukesh remembered, 'We auditioned so many people. I think more than a thousand girls auditioned.'
Sara Arjun's audition stood out, and Mukesh shared, 'Jab usne woh scene kiya, immediately I sent it to Aditya on WhatsApp.'
Aditya was impressed, and Mukesh is planning to release Sara's audition in the next week.
