Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's romantic drama Main Vaapas Aaunga is generating positive word-of-mouth ahead of its release on June 12. Content creator Aaliyah Kashyap praised the film, saying she loved it even more on her second viewing.

Ektaa Kapoor had also praised the film earlier, calling Imtiaz Ali 'in top form' and A.R. Rahman's music 'pure magic'. She praised Diljit Dosanjh's 'restrained performance' and Vedang Raina as a 'surprise package' in the film.
Main Vaapas Aaunga is set during the Partition era and marks Imtiaz Ali's second collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh. The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari in key roles.
