Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan is set to star in the romantic drama Ek Din alongside Sai Pallavi. The film's unusual strategy is the advance booking, which opened 39 days early, targeting a May 1 release.
In a chat with Just Too Filmy, Aamir revealed why that decision was taken. He said the idea was first pitched by someone from the team, citing that Ek Din is a small film with new actors, including Junaid, who has barely started his career, and Sai Pallavi, who is doing her first Hindi film.
Aamir praised director Sunil Pandey, saying he has done an amazing job and worked hard for the film. He noted that none of them know whether the film will do well, but what matters is whether they can bring the script alive.
Helmed by Sunil Pandey, Ek Din is a romantic drama backed by Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan, and Aparna Purohit under Aamir Khan Productions. The film is a remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day, following a young man who falls in love with his colleague but lacks the courage to confess his feelings.
