Actor-turned-politician Vijay has condemned derogatory remarks made by DMK supporter Ponraj Vellaichamy, referring to female cadres of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as ‘prostitutes.'
Vijay, the chief of TVK, has questioned the DMK government for not taking any action against Ponraj, who maintains a pro-DMK stance.
Ponraj's comments sparked a huge row on social media, with several members of TVK publicly slamming the remarks.
Vijay has vowed to take on the DMK in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, calling it a direct contest between ‘pure force TVK and evil force DMK.'
