Actor Shweta Tripathi has come to the defence of Rakul Preet Singh after the latter sparked a controversy with her comments on infidelity.
In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Shweta spoke about her views on infidelity and defended Rakul's remarks.
Shweta emphasized that emotions are complex and cannot be judged based on societal norms. She urged audiences to be mature enough to engage with differing opinions without attacking those who express them.
Shweta also highlighted that people should have the freedom to share their experiences without being judged, and that one should not apply society's filters.
She further stated that human beings make mistakes and learn from them, and that it's essential to understand the reasons behind people's actions rather than immediately passing judgment.
Shweta also spoke about Rakul's remark on cheating in relationships and said that people should give her space as well, as it's not easy to come out and speak the truth.
She added that actors should not be judged for their opinions and that people should be mature about these things.
