Actress Maheep Kapoor made her digital debut at 48 with Karan Johar's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, a reality series that has completed three seasons.

In a recent conversation, Maheep opened up about stepping into the spotlight in her late 40s and the intense online scrutiny that followed.

Maheep admitted to feeling the pressure to stay young, both personally and professionally, saying '100%' and elaborating that it's a very insecure time for women, especially when they're ageing and pre-menopause.

She was bombarded with trolls and scrutiny, but has since become more ruthless and proud of her age, owning it and flaunting it.

Maheep pointed out that men like George Clooney and David Beckham are often perceived as becoming more attractive with age, but women in the entertainment industry are rarely afforded the same acceptance.
