Nakshatra Murthy, the wife of Tamil actor-filmmaker Vijay Kumar Rajendra, has slammed Anugraha S Nambiar for claiming she married Vijay for 'fame and limelight'. In a series of Instagram posts, Nakshatra called out Anugraha for dragging her marriage into a public forum and making baseless claims about her character and husband.
Nakshatra also threatened legal action, stating that she would move forward with a defamation suit. The production house behind the JioHotstar web series Resort, Global Villagers, has also broken the silence, releasing an official statement and legal notice denying all defamatory claims.
The statement reads: 'We categorically and unequivocally deny all such claims.' They also warned that any attempt to tarnish their reputation through baseless accusations or the spread of misinformation will not be tolerated.
Anugraha S Nambiar had earlier claimed that she was on the verge of starvation as she wasn't paid for her work on the series, and that Vijay and Nakshatra were unempathetic when she was hospitalised during filming.
