Financier Tiruppur Subramaniam claims Ajith Kumar's salary demands have outpaced the Tamil film industry's willingness to offer.

Ajith has stayed mum on a new film, but Subramaniam says the star wants a fixed salary of over ₹110-120 crore, which Kollywood production houses are unwilling to pay.

Subramaniam suggests Ajith consider a profit-sharing model, as only a few production houses are willing to take big risks.

A Tamil producer reportedly blames the Telugu film industry for putting Vijay and Ajith in a different bracket, making it difficult for other heroes to secure films.

Ajith last starred in Vidamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly, with the latter collecting ₹248.25 crore worldwide.
