Actor Akshay Kumar has dismissed reports of charging ₹1.7 crore as an upfront fee for Welcome To The Jungle, stating that the reported figure is inaccurate.
At the film's trailer launch, Kumar clarified that his decision to be a part of the project is driven by factors beyond remuneration, citing an emotional connection to the film and his association with late writer Neeraj Vora.
Kumar expressed his gratitude to Vora, who he credits as one of the key figures who shaped his understanding of comedy, and also praised Firoz Nadiadwala, with whom he has a long-standing relationship.
Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, is set to hit cinemas on June 26 and marks the third installment of the Welcome franchise.
