Dhurandhar 2 has set the box office ablaze, breaking records since its release on March 19. The spy thriller, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has garnered widespread acclaim from viewers and celebrities alike. Now, actor Akshay Kumar has joined the chorus, praising the film.
Akshay spoke to news agency PTI, saying, 'Dhurandhar' is a great film, I've seen it. He also highlighted the differences between Dhurandhar and his own film, Bhooth Bangla, stating that the former is an adult film while the latter is suitable for kids and families.
Bhooth Bangla marks Akshay's reunion with filmmaker Priyadarshan after a decade. The film is set to hit theatres on April 10.
Dhurandhar 2, on the other hand, is a sequel to the original, set in Lyari, Karachi. It follows the rise of Ranveer's character, Hamza Ali Mazari, in the Karachi underworld, while also delving into his origins. The film has earned ₹454 crore net in its opening weekend in India, outgrossing KGF Chapter 2's Hindi version and surpassing the total lifetime earnings of Rajinikanth's biggest hit, 2.0.
