Bhooth Bangla, the horror comedy starring Akshay Kumar, has marked a significant milestone by crossing the ₹100 crore mark in India within just nine days of its release. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, has shown steady growth at the box office despite receiving mixed-to-positive reviews.
The latest update from Sacnilk states that Bhooth Bangla collected ₹10.75 crore on its 9th day of release, bringing the total collection to ₹120.10 crore and ₹100.90 crore in India gross and net collections respectively.
The film has also performed well overseas, earning $3.8 million in international territories after one week. Bhooth Bangla's worldwide gross has crossed ₹135 crore so far.
Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar after more than a decade, following films such as Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Yadav, and Jisshu Sengupta.
Paresh Rawal, who has worked with both Akshay and Priyadarshan, spoke about their reunion, praising Priyadarshan's clarity and direction.
