Indian action star Akshay Kumar is set to headline the country's first alien-thriller, 'Samuk', alongside two Hollywood veterans. The film, directed by Kanishk Varma and produced by Akshay Kumar, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, and Ashin Shah, marks a new genre for Indian cinema.
The project, which is being built with the help of stunt coordinator Luke Tumber and creature-effects legend Alec Gillis, promises to deliver a film that combines powerful storytelling with cutting-edge live-action sequences.
Akshay Kumar has confirmed his involvement in the project, stating that the script and subject of 'Samuk' are 'fascinating' and that sci-fi alien thrillers are a 'totally new genre' for him and Indian films.
