The makers of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari-starrer Alpha have unveiled the film's teaser, which has received a mixed response from fans. Many have accused the makers of copying scenes from the 1990 French film La Femme Nikita and the Hollywood classic American Sniper.

The Alpha teaser features Bobby Deol's character taking his daughter (played by Alia Bhatt) to a fancy restaurant on her 18th birthday, where he gives her first mission to carry out her first kill. Fans have drawn parallels between this scene and a sequence from La Femme Nikita, in which a character takes a young woman to an upscale restaurant and instructs her to kill three people.

A social media user pointed out that the opening scene in Alpha is 'loosely copied' from La Femme Nikita, while another comment read that the plot is 'similar.' Another cinema enthusiast pointed out that the wolf-sheep analogy used in Alpha has previously been used in American Sniper.

Alpha is being touted as a female-led spy thriller and stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol in lead roles. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail and is bankrolled by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films.
