Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan has hinted that the postponement of grandson Agastya Nanda's war biopic Ikkis was not due to a clash with other Christmas releases. The film, directed by Sriram Raghavan, was initially set to hit theaters on December 25 but has now been pushed to January 1, 2026. In a cryptic social media post, Amitabh Bachchan suggested that the change in release date might be influenced by astrology, citing a 'good omen' for the film's success. Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda in his theatrical debut, tells the true story of India's youngest Param Vir Chakra Awardee, Second Lt. Arun Khetarpal. The film's release has been postponed, but fans can look forward to the final trailer dropping this weekend in theaters. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis also stars Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. This is Agastya's first theatrical release, following his Netflix debut in The Archies (2023). The postponement of Ikkis comes as a surprise, especially considering the successful run of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, which has grossed ₹460 crore net in India. Another Christmas release, Karthik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, is set to hit theaters next Thursday. With Ikkis now scheduled to release on January 1, 2026, fans can expect an exciting new year for Bollywood.
