Chand Mera Dil, the romantic drama starring Lakshya and Ananya Panday, has shown little to no improvement in its box office collections since its release last Friday. The film, backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, has collected ₹1.75 crore on its ninth day, barely spiking from previous days. The total India gross collections stand at ₹26.39 crore, with the total India net at ₹22.50 crore. The film is facing heat from multiple releases at the box office, including new Hollywood horror films and a Bollywood release.
The film, directed by Vivek Soni, revolves around two characters who meet during their college days in Hyderabad, fall in love, and face trouble under pressure and frustration. A scene featuring Ananya's character performing a fusion classical dance has attracted a lot of reactions, with some defending the film's artistic choice.
