Malayalam actor Anna Rajan has sparked a heated debate on media ethics after apologizing for her 'unwanted' videos from Attukal Pongala, a traditional temple festival in Kerala.

Anna was photographed and filmed while celebrating the festival, dressed in a traditional kasavu saree, and her images were widely shared on social media.

However, many people took offense at her exposed skin and shamed her for it, leading Anna to issue a heartfelt apology, saying she had come to the festival with 'pure devotion' and had not intended to offend anyone.

Union Minister and actor Suresh Gopi's son, Madhav, has come to Anna's defense, accusing the media of disrespecting women who are in vulnerable positions while performing the Pooja.

Madhav wrote, 'You don't have to apologize, I mean you haven't done anything. However, these media channels owe an apology to the common man for being such spineless little slytherins.'

This incident comes just days after Kannada actor Sapthami Gowda complained about photographers deliberately zooming in to make unsavory videos at public events.
