Many on social media complained that this time around, the comedy felt too filtered and that the show had lost its original charm.
Ashish urged viewers to support Samay and said how it was almost an impossible task to get Season 2 back after the controversy.
Samay Raina had to fight a year-long legal battle to ensure the show's return, and Ashish praised his efforts in bringing back the show.
India's Got Latent Season 2 is being released simultaneously on YouTube and Netflix, with new episodes dropping every two weeks.
The show features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as special guests in the premiere episode, which dropped on June 20.
The show was previously pulled from YouTube following a major controversy involving guest Ranveer Allahbadia's remarks on an episode.
