Author Harinder Singh Sikka has come out against Meghna Gulzar, accusing her of altering the plot of his book Calling Sehmat, which was adapted into the 2018 film Raazi.
Sikka claims that Gulzar removed the Indian national flag from the movie and showed the Pakistani flag instead, while also portraying the Pakistani army in a positive light.
He also alleges that Gulzar wrote a nasty message to him after the film's completion and that she didn't want to acknowledge the protagonist Sehmat for who she was.
Sikka feels that films today are being made to show that the Indian national flag need not be celebrated, and that this is a disservice to the country's martyrs.
