New Delhi, A prominent Baloch activist has come forward to criticise the portrayal of the Baloch people in Aditya Dhar's blockbuster 'Dhurandhar'. Mir Yar Baloch claims the film's depiction of the community is fundamentally detached from historical and social realities.

The activist expressed his deep disturbance over multiple scenes in the first part of the film, which prompted him to share his thoughts on X. He stated that the Baloch are not religious extremists and do not wage violence in the name of religion.

Mir took issue with the film's suggestion that arms used by the 26/11 terrorists were supplied by a Baloch freedom fighter, calling it illogical and contrary to political realities. He also objected to a dialogue uttered by Sanjay Dutt's character, comparing Baloch people to crocodiles.

However, Mir welcomed the intervention of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, which directed the filmmakers to mute the word 'Baloch' in the dialogue following protests by Baloch communities.

Despite his issues with the film's portrayal, Mir acknowledged that 'Dhurandhar' deserved credit for drawing attention to Pakistani state violence against the community.
