Actor Paayel Sarkar has shared her experiences as an actor in the Bengali film industry, revealing how she has been replaced from countless projects in the last minute due to political influence.
Paayel, who has been an actor for the last 20 years, said that the creation of a new government is a new beginning in many ways, but the industry should not be dictated by politics.
She admitted that she too has been a part of this, being approached and then replaced multiple times, and has never been informed about the reason for her replacement.
Paayel's comments come after BJP legislature party leader Suvendu Adhikari took oath as the chief minister of West Bengal, marking the first BJP government in the state.
