Raja Shivaji, starring Riteish Deshmukh, has entered the ₹100 crore club, with Bhagyashree playing the pivotal role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's warrior mother, Rajmata Jijabai.

Despite being 10 years younger than Riteish, Bhagyashree defended her role in the film, saying she couldn't say no to playing a character she had grown up hearing stories about.

She also revealed that the film's cinematographer, Santosh Sivan, had to use camera work to make her look older, but still youthful.

Bhagyashree, who belongs to the Patwardhan royal family of Sangli in Maharashtra, has a personal connection to the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who was introduced to her during childhood.

Raja Shivaji is co-written and directed by Riteish Deshmukh, and also stars Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Genelia Deshmukh in pivotal roles.
