Actor Bhumi Pednekkar, National Advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, spoke out on World Environment Day, stating that no industry, including the film industry, is doing enough to reduce their carbon footprint.

Pednekkar, who grew up fearing for the planet's future, emphasized that individual actions matter and that the attitude of 'Mere karne se kya hoga' (what will happen if I do it) cannot exist today.

She highlighted the need for sustainable practices in the film industry, including upcycling and recycling sets and costumes, as well as incorporating eco-friendly storylines and narratives.
