Anurag Kashyap's gritty crime thriller starring Bobby Deol has shown a slight improvement in its box office collection, but the daily haul remains under ₹1 crore. The film, released on Friday, earned critical praise for Bobby's performance, but it has not translated into box office results so far.
According to Sacnilk, Bandar earned ₹95 lakhs on its second day of release, bringing the total India gross collections to ₹1.74 crore and the total India net to ₹1.45 crore. The film faced stiff competition from new releases this week, including Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and the Hollywood horror film Obsession.
The story revolves around Samar (Bobby Deol), a fading singer-actor who is arrested following a sexual assault complaint. The film shows him being pulled into a legal battle against a corrupt system, with a cast including Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, and Raj B Shetty. Despite the praise for Bobby's performance, the film's box office collection remains underwhelming.
