Bollywood actor Bobby Deol stars in Anurag Kashyap's gritty film Bandar, which has received positive reviews but failed to impress at the box office. Despite earning ₹2 crore in three days, the film's collection remains stagnant.
According to Sacnilk, Bandar collected ₹89 lakhs on its third day, bringing the total India gross collections to ₹2.79 crore and total India net to ₹2.34 crore.
The film, which tells the story of a singer-actor accused of rape, has its own niche audience and was not expected to open to big numbers. However, positive word of mouth on social media has helped the film.
Director Anurag Kashyap has praised Bobby Deol's performance in the film, saying he was 'emotionally naked' and vulnerable in every scene.
