Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has landed in controversy after filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS accused the film's makers of copying his 2023 script. Santosh claims he has proof, including his Screenwriters Association registration, and plans to take legal action.
Santosh Kumar RS alleges that he registered the script in 2023 and pitched it to several major production houses, including Sony Pictures, Zee Studios, T-Series, and Dharma Productions. He claims to have envisioned Aditya Roy Kapur for the lead role.
The filmmaker further stated that he has email records and other documents as proof of his script's registration with the Screenwriters Association in November 2023. He intends to move legally, stating that his story has been exploited and made into political propaganda.
Santosh Kumar RS is a filmmaker from Karnataka who has worked as a director, writer, and producer in Indian cinema. He has directed and written the upcoming pan-India action thriller Yuvan Robinhood (expected 2026).
