It's believed that female actors age faster in Bollywood, but these stars have played on-screen mothers to actors remarkably close to their own age.

In 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai', Varun Dhawan (39) asks for a fake mother, and Mouni Roy (40) plays the role, sparking a debate online.

Raja Shivaji's lead actor Riteish Deshmukh (47) won hearts as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while his real-life 'baiko' Genelia Deshmukh portrayed the role of Saibai. Bhagyashree (57) was cast as Riteish's on-screen mother Jijabai, despite a 10-year age gap.

In 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', Ranveer Singh (40) played Jaskirat, while Madhurjeet Sarghi (44) played his on-screen mother, who is just four years older.

Anurag Kashyap's 'Nishaanchi' followed the story of a mother and her twin sons, with Monika Panwar (31) playing the on-screen mother, 7 years older than Aaishvary Thackeray (24).

In 'Ramayana', Ranbir Kapoor (43) will play Lord Rama, while Indira Krishnan (55) will play his on-screen mother Kausalya, 12 years older than RK.
