Filmmaker Priyadarshan has joined the chorus of industry professionals speaking out against the 'nuisance' created by stars' entourages. In an interview with Filmfare, Priyadarshan called it the 'worst thing' happening in Bollywood.

Priyadarshan expressed frustration with the large number of people that follow actors to film sets, often outnumbering the crew. He claimed that members of these entourages often earn more than established actors, citing the example of veteran actor Asrani, who passed away in 2025.

Priyadarshan noted that such disruptions are uncommon in the South, where entourages typically stay off set and only step in when called by the actors.

Priyadarshan's upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, which stars Akshay Kumar, is set to release soon and marks his final collaboration with Asrani.
