Speaking at a recent Mojo Story summit, Ayesha revealed how even ordinary moments attract unwanted attention, leaving her feeling emotionally distressed and trapped in a 'sad space.'
She also confronted the reality of violent threats, confirming that she receives rape threats every day and has been a victim of attempted rape in the past.
Ayesha recounted a disturbing incident on a film set where a crew member was harassing her through Instagram voice notes, highlighting the ever-present risk public figures face even in seemingly safe spaces.
The actor stressed that harassment is not unique to her, with women in the public eye routinely encountering abuse, ranging from sexualised comments to direct threats, both online and offline.
