Comedian Pranit More is facing backlash on social media after a video from his Gurugram show went viral, featuring an audience member making a problematic comment about a woman he had gone on a date with.
Ayesha Khan recently slammed both the audience member and Pranit for laughing at the comment and promoting it on social media.
Pranit has since deactivated his Instagram account and issued a statement apologizing for his actions, saying he should have challenged the remark instead of laughing and moving on.
The controversy surrounds a comment made by 23-year-old Himanshu Jangra, who said he went on a date expecting physical intimacy from a woman after spending 370 rupees on her meal.
Many have called out both Himanshu and Pranit for promoting misogynistic behaviour, with Ayesha Khan expressing disgust over the incident, saying 'we are not angry enough for what has happened.'
