He emphasized that the situation requires more than just statements, but a serious and sustained response. He had previously raised concerns about the treatment of minorities in Bangladesh in 2021 and 2024, and is reiterating them now. The incident, which occurred on December 18, has left the world shaken. Videos of the lynching have flooded social media, showing the horrific violence that led to Dipu Chandra Das' death. According to reports, a workplace dispute may have triggered the attack. Protests have erupted in at least seven Indian cities, including New Delhi, Kolkata, Bhopal, Jammu, Agartala, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, with people demanding justice for the victim. The incident has also led to diplomatic tensions between India and Bangladesh, with both countries summoning each other's envoys.
