Actors Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Shiva Rajkumar opened up about their parents' fame in a promotional interview for their upcoming film Peddi. Ram Charan, son of Chiranjeevi, revealed that he was unaware of his father's fame as a child and never visited film sets or read magazines.
He explained, 'Since I was a kid, I was aloof and ignorant. So, if ignorance is bliss, I'm a clear example of that.' Ram also shared that he was too scared to tell his father that he wanted to be an actor, so he pretended to want to be an engineer.
Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of Sridevi, shared a heartwarming memory of her mother taking her and her sister to the fish market to select pomfret for dinner. She said, 'This whole aspect of her life was very far from us.'
Janhvi also candidly admitted that it's impossible for her to recreate her mother's fame, stating, 'It's been a blessing to discover what she means to people on a personal level, how much she has added to their lives.'
The film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, will be released in theatres on June 4.
