Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's romantic comedy 'Tu Meri Main Tera' failed to make a strong impression on Christmas Day despite its release, collecting ₹7.03 crore by 10 PM. The film, which sold 51k tickets, has a long way to go to match Kartik's previous successes like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and 'Love Aaj Kal 2', which collected ₹14.11 crore and ₹12.4 crore respectively on their opening days. The movie, directed by Sameer Sanjay Vidwans and produced by Karan Johar and others, received mixed reviews from critics for its weak script and underwhelming chemistry between the leads. A review from the Hindustan Times noted that Kartik Aaryan's character was likable, but the film's attempt at a love story felt shallow. The box office competition from Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' and Hollywood's 'Avatar Fire and Ash' might have contributed to the film's lukewarm start. It remains to be seen how 'Tu Meri Main Tera' will perform in the coming days.
