Cockroach Janata Party X Account Withheld in India: Celebrities React

A satirical political movement called the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has gained attention in India, but its X account was withheld days after its formation.

Celebrities such as Chinmayi Sripaada, Vir Das, and Prakash Raj reacted to the issue.

The movement's founder, Abhijeet Dipke, posted a screenshot of the CJP X account being withheld, citing a 'legal demand'.

Chinmayi questioned, 'Why is Cockroach Janta Party withheld in India?' while Vir Das humorously commented, 'It's giving full Streisand effect.'

Prakash Raj and Sanam Shetty supported the movement, with Prakash writing, 'Hope this is what will happen .. the youth of my country will Rise..Resist and Reclaim.'

The Cockroach Janata Party was founded on May 16 by Abhijeet, a 30-year-old political strategist, in response to a remark by the Chief Justice of India.

The movement released a 5-point manifesto and amassed 16.3 million Instagram followers within days of its launch.
