Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon, has maintained its steady performance at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews. The film has collected ₹17.75 crore on its third day, taking its total India gross collections to ₹55.45 crore and total India net to ₹47.50 crore.
This surpasses the lifetime haul of Shahid's 2025 release Deva, which collected ₹34.37 crore. However, it still lags behind the lifetime collection of the first Cocktail, which stands at ₹71 crore.
Cocktail 2 is a spiritual sequel directed by Homi Adajania, where Kunal and Diya's holiday in Sicily takes a turn when they meet Ally, Diya's friend. The film explores the consequences of Diya's insecurity about Kunal's loyalty.
When asked about the film's underlying message, Kriti Sanon said, 'There is a message in this film. It is a very relevant message. Nowadays, the type of relationships, situationship and questions related to commitment are going on, there is a very relevant and rooted message at the end of the movie.'
