Dacoit, the romantic action thriller starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has finally hit the theatres on April 10. The film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, resulting in a slow start at the box office. According to the latest report on Sacnilk, Dacoit has collected ₹6.50 crore on its first day of release.
The film managed to beat the opening haul of HIT The Second Case (₹6.4 crore) and Anaganaga Oka Raju (₹5.5 crore), but failed to surpass the first day collection of Hindi war drama Ikkis (₹7 crore).
Directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, the film stars Adivi Sesh as an inspector and features Prakash Raj and Anurag Kashyap in pivotal roles. The story revolves around two former lovers who are forced to work together to carry out a series of robberies that change their lives.
Despite receiving mixed reviews, Dacoit has shown a strong opening at the box office. However, it will need to remain steady in the upcoming days to register a solid opening weekend.
