Wade Wilson, a 25-year-old Florida man born in 1994, gained national attention for a pair of brutal murders in Cape Coral. He had a history of violent behavior before the crimes that earned him the nickname 'Deadpool Killer.'

Wilson attacked and killed two women, 35-year-old Kristine Melton and 43-year-old Diane Ruiz, within hours of each other in October 2019. He also assaulted his then-girlfriend at her workplace, leaving her badly injured.

A Florida jury found Wilson guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and several other charges in June 2024. He was sentenced to death in August 2024 for the heinous crimes.

The 'Deadpool Killer' nickname was fueled by Wilson's heavily tattooed body and online posts, which helped capture the public's attention and sparked debate on true-crime forums.
