The Delhi High Court has asked filmmaker Rajiv Rai to refrain from making public comments on the dispute over the Dhurandhar: The Revenge song. This comes after he called the makers of Dhurandhar 2 'thieves'.
The court had earlier ordered mediation between Trimurti Films, headed by Rajiv, and Aditya Dhar's B62 Studios, among others, over the alleged unauthorized use of a song from the 1989 film Tridev in Dhurandhar 2.
Rajiv's comments were seen as causing damage to the film, which is currently running in theatres, and were deemed inappropriate as the matter is sub judice.
The Dhurandhar franchise has set a new record by becoming the first from India to gross ₹3000 crore worldwide.
