Dhanush is gearing up for the release of Kara, an action thriller directed by Vignesh Raja. At a pre-release event, Dhanush talked about his career and shared that he always had faith in himself despite being mocked early on.
The actor credited Polladhavan as a turning point in his career, saying it was the first time people clapped for his physique. He also advised young fans to believe in themselves and manifest their success.
Dhanush won his first National Award for Best Actor for his performance in Aadukalam (2010) and another for Asuran (2019). He also won awards for Kaaka Muttai and Visaranai.
In Kara, Dhanush plays a dacoit who robs banks in broad daylight and faces the consequences. The film releases in theatres on April 30.
