Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge have collectively become the highest-grossing franchise in India, surpassing Baahubali and Pushpa franchises. The films, starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, and others, have grossed over ₹3,000 crore worldwide.
The Dhurandhar franchise has achieved this milestone despite being released in Hindi only and facing a ban in the Gulf states and Pakistan. The first film, Dhurandhar, collected over ₹1,307 crore worldwide, while the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has crossed the ₹1,712 crore mark worldwide, taking the franchise's total to over ₹3,019 crore.
This makes Dhurandhar the only franchise in India to have two films gross over ₹1,000 crore worldwide. The franchise has also become the first Hindi film to cross ₹1,000 crore domestically, with a net collection of ₹840 crore in India.
SS Rajamouli's Baahubali and Sukumar's Pushpa franchises were previously the highest-grossing franchises in India, but Dhurandhar has now surpassed them. The Dhurandhar franchise stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Gaurav Gera, and others in key roles.
