Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh recently stopped his concert in Canada midway to address audience members waving pro-Khalistani flags. He emphasized that his job is not to do charity work, but he always talks about Punjab on every platform he gets.
Diljit pointed out that he has spoken about Punjab's issues on various occasions, including on Sony Entertainment Television's Kaun Banega Crorepati, where he donated the proceeds to the victims of the Punjab floods in 2025.
He also mentioned his recent appearance on The Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon, where he talked about Punjab and the Guru Nanak Jahaz incident. Diljit emphasized that he didn't go on the show to promote any film or song, but to bring Punjab and its issues to light.
The incident is linked to Diljit's appearance on KBC 17 in October 2025, where he received threats from the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) group after he touched host Amitabh Bachchan's feet and was hailed as 'Punjab da puttar' (Punjab's son).
Diljit has advocated for peace and spread the message of love, saying that he will always talk about love and not get involved in charity work.
