Dipika Chikhlia, who played Sita in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan TV show, had previously expressed her disapproval of the project. However, after watching the teaser, she has changed her mind and praised the film.
Dipika told India Today that she was impressed by the teaser and looks forward to watching the film. She said, 'It looks very rich. They made it very well.' This is a stark contrast to her previous statement in June 2024, where she expressed her disillusionment with people making Ramayan again and again.
Ramayana: Parts 1 and 2 are among the most ambitious films ever made in India. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, produced by Namit Malhotra, and co-produced by Yash, the film has a star-studded cast and a grand production. The teaser offers a brief look at Ranbir as Rama and hints at various chapters from Ramayana.
Ramayana: Part 1 will be released in theatres on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 will be released on Diwali 2027.
