Every Year After, the latest romance adaptation from Prime Video, has a lot going for it. The show boasts a talented cast, including Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett, who bring depth and vulnerability to their characters. The series' atmospheric setting, Barry's Bay, is also a highlight, evoking a sense of nostalgia and longing.
However, the show's biggest weakness is its pacing. The mystery behind Percy and Sam's fallout is compelling at first, but it's drawn out for too long, making the suspense feel less gripping. The present-day timeline also feels underdeveloped, with Percy's life away from Barry's Bay barely explored.
