The founder of the company that fired Himanshu Jangra over the ₹370 biryani controversy has spoken out, defending the decision.

Vivek Vishwakarma, the founder, admitted that he didn't initially pay attention to the viral clip of Himanshu making a misogynistic comment about seeking physical intimacy in return for spending money on a meal during a date.

However, when the controversy became huge, he saw the video and found it offensive. Despite calling Himanshu a 'good employee', he eventually fired him due to the negative impact on the company's reputation.

Vivek claimed that the company received thousands of bad comments, and some clients stepped back, making it difficult for him to work.

He also blamed Pranit More, the comedian who hosted the show where Himanshu made the comment, for not stopping him sooner.
