Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that Gen V will not return for a third season, ending its story after two seasons.
The decision was shared by executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg, who stated that the show's story will continue in other projects.
Despite starting strong, Gen V struggled to maintain momentum, with a significant drop in viewership after its first three episodes in September 2025.
The show also faced a major loss with the death of star Chance Perdomo in a motorcycle accident in March 2024, causing a delay in production.
However, the creators have assured fans that the Gen V characters will appear in upcoming episodes of The Boys Season 5 and other VCU projects.
Eric Kripke explained that the show demands an ending, and the story will continue with a definitive and explosive conclusion.
The next big project in the 'The Boys' universe is Vought Rising, a prequel set in the 1950s, expected to release in 2027, with a small tease in The Boys Season 5.
