Thirty-six years after the last Godfather film, the iconic gangster saga is set to return with a new film based on the novel Connie, focusing on Don Vito Corleone's only daughter.
Paramount has acquired the film rights to the novel, written by Adriana Trigiani, which will be released in 2027.
The studio holds the rights to all films based on The Godfather under an original agreement, and the author's estate has granted them the first right of refusal on future film rights.
The original Godfather trilogy was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, but it's unlikely he will return for a fourth film.
