Actor Hrithik Roshan has joined Rajinikanth's upcoming film Jailer 2, replacing Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role.
This marks Hrithik's return on screen with Rajinikanth after almost 40 years, since their 1986 film Bhagwan Dada.
Hrithik will play the role of Rajini sir's friend in Jailer 2, who comes into the storyline to help in times of crisis.
The film's shoot was wrapped some time back, but a few scenes are now being reshot, with some actors asked to come back and reshoot their scenes.
Jailer 2 also stars Vidya Balan in her Tamil debut, alongside SJ Suriya, Mithun Chakraborty, and Mohanlal.
