Even as the feud between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh over Don 3 with FWICE’s (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) rages on, Hrithik Roshan’s recent post caught everyone’s attention. After the actor expressed interest in playing more than just the ‘good guy’, Reddit believed he was subtly pitching himself for the role in the Don franchise. Zoya Akhtar’s comment on his post only fanned the flames.
Hrithik mentioned that the kind of role he’s looking for now is Zaffar from Zoya Akhtar’s 2009 film Luck By Chance. Posting a selfie, the actor wrote, “Just got asked what's the kind of role I'm looking for. And I surprised myself when it came to me. Remember Zaffar from luck by chance? That's the one. I'd jump on something like that. But directors only wanna see me play the good guy. Sad.”
Zoya commented under Hrithik’s post, writing, “Let’s get that coffee,” with a hug and heart emojis. That’s all it took for fans to spam them to make a sequel to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) or even better, to cast Hrithik in Don 3.
The theory was floated even on Reddit, with one person commenting, “I feel he is subtly pitching for Don 3 to Farhan...all the hints: Farhan, bad guy, good role.” Another wrote, “People loved Hrithik's cameo in Don 2 with most saying he was better than SRK. There is already immense support for him.”
However, some on the internet thought Hrithik would talk to Farhan directly over pitching himself on Instagram. “I mean they are childhood friends and he has worked on two of Farhan's most celebrated movies. Do you really think if Hrithik wants to "pitch" for Don 3, he will do it via IG?” wrote one Redditor.
